About the Course
This recorded training, originally delivered as a live event, is designed for Primary teachers, Headteachers and English Leaders. Please allow 1.5 hours to complete the session. Focusing on effective classroom practice, this session explores the key pedagogical approaches that successful schools use to improve progress in non-fiction writing. We will examine how to support pupils to develop a secure understanding of non-fiction style and structure and what genuinely supports independence beyond scaffolds. The training will also consider how to inspire pupils to write non-fiction with confidence, pleasure and purpose, leading to stronger outcomes across the curriculum.
