About the Course

Join us for our Summer Term English Leader Briefing aimed at Primary Head teachers, English Leaders and SENDCOs. This session we are joined by our fabulous guest speaker, Caroline Woodman. Caroline Woodman is the English Lead for Aspire Academy Trust and an ambassador for the premature baby charity 'The Smallest Things'. During this session she will explore the impact of premature birth on children’s development. Caroline will share her own story and that of her son, Reuben, who was born prematurely. She will emphasise the importance of early intervention, understanding developmental challenges, and the need for educational professionals to be aware of the unique needs of premature children. Caroline will also highlight the resources available for families and educators to support children like Reuben, advocating for greater awareness and understanding of the long-term effects of prematurity. Join us to gain valuable insights to enhance your role and impact across the primary phase!
