Growth Mindset  for Primary Schools

A practical, research-informed training for primary leaders, teachers and Teaching Assistants This 1.5-hour recorded training is designed for Primary Headteachers, Senior Leadership Teams, class teachers and TAs who want to strengthen pupil motivation, resilience and attainment through a clear, evidence-based approach to Growth Mindset. Growth Mindset isn’t about empty praise or motivational slogans. It’s about understanding how beliefs shape learning — and how schools can deliberately build a culture where effort, challenge and progress are valued. Based on the landmark research of Professor Carol Dweck (Stanford University) and supported by neuroscience and positive psychology, this training explores why it’s not simply ability that determines success, but how pupils (and adults) respond to challenge, feedback and setbacks. When pupils develop a growth mindset, research shows they are: - More motivated to learn. - More resilient when faced with difficulty. - More likely to achieve their full potential. This session moves beyond theory to show how Growth Mindset can be embedded meaningfully and consistently across a primary school.
