About the Course
This live online half day is aimed at KS2 teachers and English Leaders. Focus: Using drama purposefully to raise the quality of pupils’ writing Many KS2 pupils struggle to generate ideas, sustain writing or write with purpose. Drama provides children with lived experiences that unlock imagination, deepen understanding and give them something meaningful to write about. This highly practical session will explore how to use drama purposefully — not as an add-on — but as a structured approach that improves engagement, vocabulary and writing outcomes across Key Stage 2. By the end of the session, you will: - Feel confident using drama to support writing at KS2. - Have a toolkit of practical strategies ready to use immediately - Understand how drama improves engagement, vocabulary and writing quality. - Be able to plan drama-led writing lessons aligned to curriculum objectives.
